Red Oak Announces New Special Needs Services for Autism
Tuesday August 30, 2011 – In addition to its regular individualized instructional services for special needs students, Red Oak Academy is pleased to announce the addition of parental coaching services for families with special needs members. The services will include questionnaires and pre-test screening instruments to help parents know if their child is in need of more intensive diagnostics. The services will also include online coaching for parents of newly diagnosed children with disabilities and specialized therapeutic and clinical procedures that parents can use to care for their children at home. These new services will be tailored to the needs of Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, Downs Syndrome, Infantile Cerebral Palsy (ICP), Family Genetic Disorders and Children with Multiple Disabilities. 2011 Graduation Ceremony Captured on Video

Saturday May 28, 2011 – Acoustics were a little bit of problem, but here is the 2011 Red Oak Academy Graduation Ceremony which was held on May 28 at the University of Dallas. A total of 17 Seniors graduated. Congratulations to the Class of 2011. See if you can hear your name!

2011 Graduates Begin Early Acceptances
Tuesday March 13, 2011 – Red Oak Academy is honored to announce the first of its 2011 graduates’ acceptance to the colleges and universities of their choices. David Soop of Richmond Hill, GA has received official notice of his acceptance to Texas Lutheran University (Sequin,TX) in the fall. He has received an academic scholarship based on grades and his SAT scores. He also was awarded an additional Dramatic Media Scholarship for his screenplay and short film. Total scholarships of $18,000 per year! David needed an on line school so he could focus on his passions – writing, directing, acting, and creating games. According to David’s mom, Mary Soop, “Red Oak was perfect for him. College Board Approves Second AP Art Course for Red Oak Students
Monday March 12, 2011 – Ms. Sharon Jeffus has obtained College Board approval for her course Studio Art: Drawing. This is the second course Ms. Jeffus has gotten approved for AP credit. The first course entitled Studio Art: 2-D Design received College Board approval in November. According to the AP acceptance statement, Ms. Jeffus is now “authorized to use the AP® designation through the 2012 – 2013 academic year. The College Board applauds and recognizes your efforts to provide your students with the academic rigor and college-level experience that is the promise of AP.” Students may enroll in either of these courses now by contacting Ms. Jeffus at visualmanna@gmail.com. 2011 Graduation Ceremony
Friday March 4, 2011 – Red Oak Academy has scheduled its live 2011 graduation ceremony for Saturday May 28, 2011. The Keynote speaker will be Mrs. Heather Fisher, Red Oak Academy Foreign Language and High School English professor. Mrs. Fisher and Mr. McCollum, Director of Education will be directing the graduation proceedings to be held in the Haggar University Center located on the University of Dallas campus. Congratulations to the Red Oak Academy graduating class of 2011!

2010 Graduates Begin Early Acceptances
Wednesday April 7, 2010 – Red Oak Academy is honored to announce the first of its 2010 graduates’ acceptance to the colleges and universities of their choices. Lorenda Ziazikova of Clifton, NJ has received official notice of her acceptance to Boston College. Congratulations Lorenda! She becomes the 427th Red Oak Academy student to be accepted by a major university since 1997.
